Book Review: Bob by Wendy Mass and Rebecca Stead | Abuse is NOT Okay

Image
Livy can’t remember her first visit to her grandmother’s house all the way across the world in Australia, though she does seem to recall a ‘wrong chicken’ and something unusual about a black chess piece. She definitely doesn’t remember the strange little creature she finds in the wardrobe. His name is Bob, and he’s been waiting for her to come back for more than five years—that’s a very long time to sit in the dark. Livy and Bob piece together the mystery of who Bob is, and a beautiful friendship unfolds. Now Livy must help Bob find his way home. Bob  is a tender and engaging story for young readers about loyalty and the power of imagination, set in an Australian country town. Discussion: " I was too busy basking in the glow of hearing my name. The Great and Powerful Bob. The Bobster. His Bobness. " 1.5/5 stars Wow. Just, wow. 15 Questions with Lil' Bro: The Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan

Hi everyone! I am back from the dead. I dug myself out of my book-made grave and risen up with  Clockwork Princess  in one hand and my other hand at the ready to type my next post. I feel dead due to all the deadlines that have been punching me in the face; however, as no one probably wants to hear about my bruised yet beautiful face, I think it is time to move on to reviewing a book series. In January, I had my brother tell me his thoughts on the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series through a series of questions. As I like to follow a pattern in my life, except for when it comes down to solving a problem with trigonometry as it is a stinking pile of confusing "math," I chose to be like Vogue and ask my brother, a newfound celebrity, fifteen questions about his so called "favorite series from Riordan yet." - - - ⭐A key to understanding who is who:  Nicole is bold  and Nathan is normal, just as it is in real life. 1. Book Haul: Stacking My Shelves High with Some New Books

On Saturdays, Tynga's Reviews hosts a weekly meme for all the book lovers who receive books. With this meme, a book or an author can be promoted to all the people who may be interested. This is really cool as I love discussing books; however, it is mostly in a review or blog tour style. I have never done a book haul as I never get a lot of books at one time and I always feel like expressing my love or deep hatred in a review. But, in the words of the young Justin Bieber, "Never say never." Now, as every book lover does on any day, it is time to share and hug my new books! - - - For Review(Thanks Netgalley, publishers, and authors! <3 ): 1. Bob by Wendy Mass and Rebecca Stead I had gotten a book by Nicholas Gannon, and it had such pretty artwork. Once I saw the title, which features my favorite name to use for stuffed animals, and that he was the illustrator, I hurried up and hit request. I cannot wait to read the story and stare at all the pretty illustr
