My Monthly Adventures: September 2017

Hello! How was your month? My month was very busy, which meant I barely had time to read and write reviews or other types of blog posts. I will try to squeeze some more in the month of October, but we will read. Well, this little introduction is not enough about me so let's get on with what I did this month!

Books I Read This Month

1. The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding by Alexandra Bracken
5/5 stars
This has to be my favorite book of this month, and is in with my favorite books of all time. I really liked Alexandra Bracken's writing and her storytelling; and, I cannot wait to read more books from her. Here is my review on Goodreads and my blog.

2. Achilles by Greg Boose
1/5 stars
I DNF(did not finish) this book after eighty pages. It was so bad that I had to write a review on it on Goodreads and soon my blog.

3. Our Short History by Laura Goldstein
4/5 stars
I really enjoyed reading Goldstein's book. I have a review on Goodreads...for now.

4.  Girl Made of Stone and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust
4.5/5 stars
This book is a Snow White retelling and has so many amazing elements. I cannot wait to review this book probably in November, but for now, I have my review on Goodreads for everyone to read.(Yes, you can read about my feelings and emotions on other social media networks!)

5. Thinks Out Loud: A Blog At First by Martin Perlman
3.5/5 stars
I was surprised I liked it since I was a bit iffy about it. I will have my review up as soon as I get time; however, here is my Goodread's review!

Currently Reading
1. Amber Sky by Claire Warner
The sky is very amber right now! I wonder if it will ever turn blue.

2. All Rights Reserved by Gregory Scott Katsoulis
One word: AWESOME!

Movies/TV Shows I Watched
1. "Westworld"
4/5 stars
Oh my goodness! How did I not know about this show?! I binge-watched this show throughout the month of September as if the show was my only tie to life. If I had no school and could postpone my social life(like I do not not do this already), I would have stayed up all night watching this show! I cannot wait for season two! AHH! I heard some news of it, but forgot it all when I heard season two was coming! I hope someone can relate to me one day!

2. A quarter of "Titanic"
Finally, I can now say I have seen a quarter of the movie that is told as the classic love story of all time before Katniss and Peeta and several other couples took over our television screens. The quarter I saw was really good; but, since I did not see the full movie, I will not be rating it. I have always been interested in the history of the Titanic, and seeing some of the history of it was nice, especially since I have not seen a lot of movies taking place in the early 1900s. While I was watching the quarter of this movie, the football games had interrupted me. Go Texans!(Oh, they lost!)

3."Hidden Figures"
5/5 Rockets(See what I did there?)
I have been wanting to watch this movie for so long that when I saw HBO was showing it, I actually screamed for joy and hit the "select" button on my remote so fast that I could have been the Flash. I was so excited to see three amazing smart women use their brains to fuel NASA's space program with their love for engineering, math, and software science and engineering. It was the perfect thing to watch after I finished "Westworld" since it deals with technology and other science elements. I cannot wait to pick up the book soon since the movie was so good! Ugh, I need to stop writing the words "so good" and "amazing," but I cannot stop!

DRAMA&GOSSIP(Did you see that ombre, though?)

This month was so boring. I went to school, I went to school, I went to school, and I did that exact same thing five times a week. There was nothing new or exciting that occurred. So, why have this section included you may ask? Well, it just seems the proper thing to do, and I just wanted to mention that I ate many orange-cranberry muffin tops and give-or-take two to three loaves of banana bread. They were all delicious! I cannot decide which dessert I liked more; however, since my mom made the banana bread, I am a bit prejudiced and am writing that the banana bread was better.

Also, did you hear all the Cassandra Clare news?! Queen of Air and Darkness is being released in Fall 2018!!! We do not have to wait an extra year just to get the ending of our soon to be favorite trilogy! And, there is going to be an anthology titled Ghosts of the Shadow Market coming out soon, too! For Leigh Bardugo fans, such as myself, in 2019(MARK ALL YOUR CALENDARS WHEN THE RELEASE DAY COMES OUT!), Bardugo will be releasing a Nikolai novel titled(YES! IT ALREADY HAS A TITLE!) King of Scars! Just take my money and give me all these books right now! I do not need to know what these books are about, since I just need to know that these books are written by amazing authors who write amazing stories that I will devour in a single day! Ah, I cannot wait! Also, please have a tour in my city!

  2. Yeah, school can be exhausting! However, I would never trade my life of going to school and blogging for another one.
