Spell Your Name with Fictional Characters Book Tag | Days Full of Stress, Overachieving, and My New Identity

Image
Several times, I have worked all day long. Every time I go to an amusement park or any popular vacation spot, I have to wrestle my way into a place in line. Some days, I have been on my feet all day, moving from one area to the next without taking a break. And, even though I have done all that and more, I feel as if this tag was the hardest thing in the whole universe. First, if I may ask, why did I choose to do this? Also, why did I somewhat accept Lili from Lili's Blissful Pages 's challenge to do this?(Also, go check out and follow Lili because she is just super-duper awesome sauce. That is not a description big enough for Lili; however, if you start reading her blog, you will be as speechless as I am.) Just, why?! I really think that she and some other bloggers lured me out into the open with some cake. How did they even know I have an obsession with cake and other foods? It is not like I stuff my face everyday. Anyhow, I have a tag to start so if the internet will p

My Monthly Adventures: December 2017 | Procrastination, Cat Bribes, and Unexplainable Puns

Whale hello there! I know this is late, and before I apologize for being such a terrible blogger, I want to tell you guys why I did not post this sooner. Excuses for Why I Did Not Wanna Write This Post...'Cause Oops, I May Do It Again Stress, stress, stress...to be the perfect book blogger, to be the perfect student, to be the perfect cat mommy I did not know how you would take the pun gif. I did not feel like writing this. And I did not know how you would react to hearing that your (favorite) blogger did not want to write her recap and get into a writing funk. I have been writing a lot more, and I do not want to mess this up. And finally, I barely remember what happened in December other than finals. Ugh! But, can I bribe you with a picture of a cute cat? - - - Carrying on, December was an okay month for me. With all the stress of college finals, I was worried I would be stuck with my nose in a book, like always; however, the books would not count to

Hero Cats Volume One by Kyle Puttkammer: Superhero Cats, Hogwart Houses, and Meet My Cats

Image
The cutest heroes on the planet have arrived! Meet the Hero Cats of Stellar City in this, their first spectacular graphic novel. Not your ordinary house cats, they're a tactical, action-packed covert team dealing with extraordinary threats to humanity in ways that will amaze. Discussion: 4/5 stars There has been a trend that has not ended and probably will stay for a long, long, long, LOOONG time: superheroes. And I LOVE superheroes. From Superman to Wonder Woman to Iron Man, I always love a good superhero story. This one sure does take the cake, too, as this story is about a bunch of CATS! Who doesn't like cats other than the occasional cat-hater or super-dog-lover?! I found all the cats to be very nicely drawn and brave when they were facing their enemy. Also, since I find myself to be a mix of Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, I am very happy that a lot of the cats used their brains while also being the bravest they could be. Although I may have enjoyed this book very much,

Series Review with Lil' Bro: Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan

Image
I have gone on a journey of nagging influencing my brother to read the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series written by Rick Riordan. FINALLY , he has finished the series, so I thought I could do a mini review/interview to entertain all your minds. I had also thought it would be fun to put up a review of a book series without reviewing each individual book. However, it did not go as I had planned as my brother does not respond to questions immediately with long and detailed answers. I intervened, gave him answers, and wrote down something smarter than what he actually said. Anyway, let's rush into my brother's mind and find out what he thinks about Percy Jackson and his friends. - 1. What rating(out of 5 stars) would you give these books? The Lightning Thief : 4.5-It is just the beginning of the series, and I felt that it was not the best.(Why are you making me get interviewed?) Sea of Monsters : 4- I found Tyson annoying. The Titan's Curse : 4.5- I found Artemis and

RANKED: My Favorite Books of 2017

Image
As I am currently listening to 2017's top hits, I thought that this would be the perfect time to begin the new year with a post discussing my favorite books of 2017. 2017 was a somewhat great reading year. I gave a lot of 5 stars to books that can be brought into my favorites and others that can stay on my almost-favorites shelf. I wish I could but some of the books I read last year were not the greatest so I have compiled a list of books that have lasted with me throughout the year. 1. Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare First off, I have my #1 favorite for 2017: Lord of Shadows . I am pretty sure almost everyone is psychic on this one as any Cassandra Clare book is absolutely #1 for me. The only regret I have about this book is that I wish I had written a review for this when I had first read it, and maybe I will when I reread it; however, I was absent from my blog for a while so yeah. Anyway, I loved this addition to the Dark Artifices trilogy, and I am so glad that we do

The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding by Alexandra Bracken

Foreword : I have received an ARC(Advanced Review Copy) of  The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding  from the publisher to do a honest review on it. " I would say it's a pleasure to meet thee, Prosperity Oceanus Redding, but truly, I only anticipate the delights of destroying thy happiness. " -Alexandra Bracken, The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding 5/5 stars In one of the oldest towns in America, Prosper Redding is celebrating Founder's Day with his family, and realizes something is brewing. Prosper is an outsider with no friends, a weird family, and now a fiend is living inside of him due to his more than great grandfather breaking a contract with Alastor, a fiend who wreaks havoc on the human world. Prosper's evil grandmother tries to kill him, which leads him to be rescued by a man said to be his Uncle Barnabas and his cousin Nell, who may be too helpful to his condition. He, then, enrolls in the local school, creates a whole new identity for himself, an
